I can relate

So, missy Dee got herself a vacuum today and hearing her total dusty carpets reminded me of my vacuum and the cleaning I need to do with it before I can even use the dumb thing. But I did manage to get the stairs and bathroom floors swept today. Then cleaned the kitty litter box, got the pop cans together to take back to the store. I cleaned up the mess in the bathroom that C left before he went away and all the while doing this I got pretty mad. I can't even clean my house till the boys clean up the pig pen that they have made to my downstairs. Once they get their messes cleaned up, I want to get my Christmas tree taken down. Yes, I still have my tree up, but I did get the tree down at the apt. So, that counts for something...lol

Headache

Well, I'm still dealing with this weird headache, I'm wondering if it is a cluster headache or a migraine. I really don't recall having a migraine like this since I rarely ever get one. But it is behind one eye and the bones around the eye. Later it will shoot up to my forehead and then that will be it for me doing anything. The weather keeps changing on me so that never helps.

The other headache was looking at my electric bill that I know I can not pay for the whole thing. Having low pay checks for 3 weeks in a row coming off of Christmas, plus it looks like DH will be going on unemployment next week. First time for unemployment in over a year. I had to put minutes on D's prepaid cell phone today so he doesn't lose his phone or number. I need to put some money on the electric bill, the cable, my cell phone and the home phone yet. So there goes any ideas of me getting a new cell phone for myself this week. I have needed a new one for about 8 months now, but I had to wait till my date of renewal first which was the 9th of this month.

But, I'm not going to worry about all of this, we will get by some how, we always do.

What A Day It Turned Out To Be

Today just feels like a day of great pain. Pain in my areas of my life whether it be physical or emotional. The physical part is the continuous of pain in my joints, the RSD or the headaches. Today I have all the pain. A cluster headache that is hurting behind my left eye, temple and cheek bone. Finally I had had enough and took a nap. So, I wake up, of course the joint pain is still there but the headache was even worse, go figure. The emotional pain is D and his school work, or I should say lack of school work. After getting a NC in one of his class for the 2nd time this school year, he was dropped from that class. There goes the credits we were trying to get done before graduation. I'm at the point where I just don't care anymore, even though I know I do. Its very depressing.

Oh on top of it all, C got me a fridge for Christmas that is driving me nuts. I have never heard one make such grinding noises when it comes on, it quiets down after a minute but it is loud and driving me crazy. For those that don't know me, I hate and I repeat, I hate noises period. I was thinking about going and getting another one and see if it makes noise to, if it don't then this one can run its grinding noise right back to the store. Well, one of them will go back to the store, not keeping two...lol and of course C doesn't know what he did with the receipt so I will have to buy it first and take one back....what a pain in the butt that is.

So, my nice thoughts of taking D to the monster trucks this weekend went right down the tubes when he told me he got dropped from his class. So, I guess I don't have to waste the gas to go to the apt this weekend after all. D only has to go in one day this week and take his exams so I thought it might be something fun to do. NOT HAPPENING NOW!!

Doesn't look like much work going on for next week, so DH will probably be home on Monday. Man, I don't know how to act having him home that many days in a row...lol, he has been doing this out of town job for over a year now. Can't believe that much time has passed already, but it has. Looks like my poor bills will pay the price for this lack of work. There wasn't much work going on this past week either, but as each day went on DH had people to go talk to about the job he is doing tomorrow, plus there was a job he did on Thursday, so that at least kept him busy.

Going Home Tomorrow

Well I'll be heading home tomorrow afternoon after DH gets out of work. It sure will be nice to have a car again, have all my daily stuff around me...lol. I don't have alot of things here to keep myself busy, just the computer and a sewing machine that I haven't used yet. I need to buy fabric first. Plus we are talking an apt, there is only so much cleaning to do, blink your eyes and your done.

Can't say for sure if D is happy to have me coming home or is liking the freedom without me there...lol. He has asked me a few times this week. We didn't know if DH was working all week or not since work is alittle slow right now. Is all I know and this is for Deana, I don't mind leaving D alone now and then, like a few days here and there. I have been gone from home about 3/4 of the month of Dec and had no idea I was coming back down here so soon. The last 2 weeks of coming down here was only to try out the new mattress for the 30 days, plus I had something here that I needed to pick up once I found it....lol and yes, the key word was "FIND IT"...lol So, I don't like to leave him that long at a time...lol even tho he is almost 18, a few days here and there in a week is about all I'm comfortable with being he is still in school.

Yuck Outside

I'm back at the apt. from going home for the weekend. I needed to come back and get some money I forgot and left here to pay a couple of bills. Now why on earth I forgot is beyond me. But I'll go to the bank to deposit it today and send out the bills tomorrow. I'm not really sure how you send things out here at the apt. but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

We have had a warm up with some rain and all the snow has melted making the outside look ugly and brown mud. The one thing that I hate in the winter is when there is no snow on the ground and is all you see is brown grass and mud. I hate winters to start with but if I have to put up with it at least give me snow to look at...lol

So, I have the new stereo down here, sounds pretty good so far. I wasn't going to keep it but I asked DH if he wanted me to take it back and get better speakers for my computer to listen to my music that way or bring it down here and I still get new speakers for my stereo....lol. Well you can guessed it, he said bring it down here so he has something nice to listen to. The radio works, the cd player works, now is all I have to try is the ipod with it. I also have my sewing machine down here, so I think I'll play around with it and figure it all out before I start working on curtains.

So, other then that I have nothing much to do but play on here, read a book or watch tv. This is the last week I'm coming down here for awhile, I can't keep leaving D behind. I don't leave him unless either C is home and if not, he goes to N's apt in town. So there is always someone there for him.

Mattress

Finally, we have a regular mattress to sleep on down here at the apt. We got the mattress last Thurs. but the box springs had to be ordered, which came in today. We were planning on leaving for home today, but we are going to stay one more night and try the bed out now that it is complete. It will be nice not feeling like you are sleeping on the floor...lol

I didn't start on the curtain for money is tight right now. No work, no pay and since Christmas and News Years fell in the work week there is only 3 days of pay for both weeks. So, the next time I come down here maybe I can work on it some.

I'm starting to feel like I can take more days off from home and D with school. He is going to be 18 in March and can get himself off to school and do the work with me or without me there...lol. C is there anyways so he isn't alone. He has 4 more months before he graduates and that is going feel so weird come this fall when I won't have to be buying school clothes, making sure I'm in town for him. I guess when the last child you have finishes school it is always a strange feeling.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve and all were safe. Its hard to believe it is 2008 already. I remember thinking back to when D started high school and saying to him, "just four more years and you will be done." Well, that time has come, now is all I have to say is, "just a few more months"....lol

Last night we started getting some bad weather, under a winter storm warning. I don't know how much we got, but we sure did get alot. It is still snowing but very lightly. I see the road is starting to get cleared up. Now I'm just hoping it won't take the expressway long to clear up to since I'm going back down to DH's apt today. But the bad thing about that is, they got this snow last night too, but there is 3-5 inches coming today for down there...lol, fun fun.

Last night we went out to dinner with 2 of my brother inlaws and their wives. Came back and played a game and played cards till the new year came in. Had a nice time.

2007

Well 2007 is almost coming to a close. I hope it was a good year for all. Alot changed this year for me as my DH works out of town all week, every week for the last year. Has a company paid apt. that isn't all that decorated yet. Mainly nothing much on walls so it doesn't feel all that homy yet. But I'm working on it, slowly. Now that I have a new sewing machine for Christmas, I plan on making curtains for both bedrooms. Anything to block out the lights coming from the parking lot.

D, DH and I came back down to the apt on Christmas Day so we really didn't get a chance to play with all our new stuff....lol. DH and I went out and got a new mattress 2 days ago and I tell you what, it is killing my back. My back hurt before the mattress and now it hurts even more. I hate buying mattresses. So, this was my thinking, I'd go back to the house with DH for New Years and then ride back here for the short work week and sleep on that back paining new mattress. WE have 30 days to try it out. I do know that it will take a week or two of using it to know if it is the right one but if I'm not here, how will I know....lol. DH slept great on it last night....lol

For New Years Eve DH and I are going out to dinner with his 2 brothers and their wives. Then we usually go back to one of the houses and play cards till it is time to watch the count down.

I'm Home

What a long day yesterday was. Packing to come home, wrap a few gifts, clean up apt. then the 2 1/2 hour drive home. But, I'm here safe and sound. After getting home, DH, N and D went Christmas shopping for me. I was sound asleep when they got home. I need to run to the store yet, I forgot a gift for C. Bummer, don't know how I missed it...lol So, N will take me later since I left my car down at the apt. and came home in DH's truck. I figured since D and I are going back down there Christmas night, why waste the gas to bring it home. Now we will have something to ride around in while DH is working.

Since Then

Since I last wrote I came back down to DH's apt for a company Christmas party. Which was last night. Small but very nice compared to the company Christmas they give for the works back home. Three of the bosses came down. I find it strange to work for a company and a few of workers have never met two of the bosses. It's not like some big company that no one knows anyone....lol I was going to leave this morning but decided to wait till DH gets done working 2nd shift today and ride home with him. This way my car will be here next week when D and I are down here. Saves a bunch on gas. So, after DH leaves for work I will run to the store and pick up a few groceries we need for Christmas Eve, Christmas morning and Christmas Day. Plus I still have a few stocking stuffers to get for DH.

Really Stessed Now

I thought I was in such good shape for Christmas. But I got stuck at DH's apt because of snow for an extra day. Which all in all we didn't get the high end of the snow but somewhere around 8 inches, same at home. I guess when my daughter went to work this morning,the roads were still covered, when she came home from work 7 hours later, they were still covered. Lots of school closings for tomorrow. So far we have school, if we don't have school, they won't call it in till the morning. But I still have nothing wrapped for Christmas, no cookies baked, I have 2 exchanges to do, I have DH to finish up and I still need to make a list for DH to get me. I will make 3 gifts easy for him, I have the data traveler for the computer, I have the small stereo and I'll go look at a cheaper end of sewing machines. I have lots of curtains and seat covers I want to make and my sewing machine doesn't work well anymore. But then again it is 25 years old now.

Friday night we went shopping and I got a few more stocking stuffers and then we came home and got ready to leave to go to a coffee house to listen to the wife of a guy DH works with. They did pretty good, not really my style. But it was nice doing something with a few people he works with for a change. We need to do that more so I'm not just sitting here in this apt doing nothing all the time. Friday night is the Christmas party down here and as long as the snow that is suppose to come in on Thursday isn't bad, I'll come down then, if not, it will have to wait till Friday morning. Pretty much get done here, shower and get ready then leave for the party if I have to wait till Friday. Then leave Sat. morning as long as th snow lets us to go back home.

The Estate

Well I'm here at the estate now, made it safe and sound. The apt. is all decorated and now there is nothing to do. I guess I could read a book, watch tv or just go back to bed. I woke up before 6am this morning, but now I'm getting tired.

Today after DH gets home from work we will go out and do some more Christmas shopping. I do want to get some wrapping paper and wrap up a few empty boxes to put under the tree. I think it will look better. I can always use more paper at home. Speaking of paper, when I get home I really need to start wrapping all the gifts. I will only have 3 full days at home before I come back to this estate for the work Christmas Party. I will go back home 2 days before Christmas so there isn't alot of time to get things done. I still have to finish off DH gifts and I have no ideas what else to get him. I haven't gotten him much yet...lol Somewhere in there I need to make cookies, man, that might not be happening. I thought I was doing so good this year but now I feel so far behind.

To Tired

Went shopping with N and my mom today. I have a bit more to go and then I'm done. Then I'll have to start wrapping things up. I still have to finish the Christmas tree which is something I'll do tomorrow. I need to go to walmart and pick up an item that I ordered online. I don't think I'll be doing that tomorrow since we are suppose to get some bad weather. Wed. D and I have a dentist appt. so I might have to run to the store in the morning so he doesn't see what I got. Then either wed. after the dentist or Thur. morning I'll be heading to DH's apt.

Still lots to do

I still have so much to do for Christmas yet as each day comes and goes I just don't feel like getting things done. My tree is still half decorated and I don't feel like doing any more. I have to decorate the tree at DH's apt this week and I don't feel like driving down there...lol. No cookies made, not one gift wrapped. I'm getting out of the Christmas Spirit. I had more Christmas Spirit at Thanksgiving time then I do now.

Snow

This is the second time in the last week that I have woken up to snow. Why does it always have to do that on the days I have to go out...lol. C just went out to get his blood work done and had no problems getting out of the driveway, thank goodness. I have to get a prescription done asap so I called to make sure my pharmacy had it in stock, of course they don't. So now I will have more running around to find someone that does.

I'm not happy with my Christmas tree, I feel there are more lights on 3/4 of the tree and its the top half that looks like less lights. So before I put more ornaments on the tree I will add some more lights up top. Not sure when I'll get to that with all the running around to do.

Tomorrow is the last craft show and all us girls were suppose to go to the movies. Then my sister says that her daughter really wanted to see the movie with her but can't make it tomorrow during the day time. Mind you there are 5 of us that can and only 1 that can't....lol. My sister talked about doing it in the evening, well that doesn't work for me, I only get to see DH on weekends and I'm not spending my evening gone. Plus DH and I have to go Christmas shopping, we are running out of time with him being gone all week long.

Beyond Tired

I'm beyond tired tonight. After a full day of Christmas shopping with my sister inlaw and mother inlaw I'm still up. I have no idea why. I think it is because I have so much on my mind with all that I need to buy yet. I know I'm 2/3 of the way done and I'd just like to finish up with most of it by this weekend. I still have to go shopping with my mom yet and I'd like to get that done next week if I can. I ordered a couple of things off of walmart.com and I seen on the website that one of my items is at the store, but I haven't gotten the email with the bar code yet. I will just wait for the second one to come in first before I go pick them up. A video game that I ordered off ebay came in today, but I got a better one with a 3 game bundle off of walmart.com, so I will sell the one that came in the mail today on ebay...lol

Stupid Tree

Ok, I think I want to kill the Christmas tree, well maybe just kill the lights on the stupid Christmas tree. 3/4 of the lights aren't working, so later when I'm in the mood I will take an extension cord down there and mess with each string of lights and see if I can pin point the problem.

C didn't get home till this morning and sound like he is in a bad mood. His phone woke him up at 9am and has been talking ever since. Don't know with who and I'm not asking. But, if he goes back to sleep, I'll be quiet for a few hours, after that, it isn't happening. You want to come home at 5:30am and sleep on the sofa and think I'll be quiet, it is not happening, and if he don't like it, he can find his own place to live and come home at that time and sleep all day.

Not a Great Day So Far

Today hasn't started out on a good note at all. I didn't get to sleep till after 2am and then it was a fitful sleep. D woke me up at 7:30am and needed a ride to school. I'm getting alittle upset about him not setting it up the night before and riding the bus if he needs too. So, I asked him to go down and ask C to take him. So he did and C says NO, he of course didn't sleep all that great he says. Says it isn't his job and that I'm trying to push my job off on him. Why is it when I ask him to do something in the morning he always says I didn't sleep good last night. Hello, my job??? You live here for free, your 26 years old, HELP OUT.

So, I have started some of the decorating around the livingroom with my little snowman figurines. I still haven't put a thing on the tree yet. When I turned it on this morning only 2 strings of lights came on from the bottom and the angel on top. I thought crap, I'm going to have to take the thing a part. But one of the strings must not have been plugged in really good. It worked fine last night, no one has touched it since I turned it off, so I don't have a clue there.

Its freezing outside today, with the wind chill it is only 14 degrees out. I'm hoping I don't have to go pick D up from school, it was bad enough trying to go uphill to the road on a icy driveway.

Long Day!!

Today felt like such a long day. I'm still up even though it is after midnight. Talking with Dee for a bit before bed. After getting up this morning, relaxing in front of the computer for awhile, it was then time to get to work on the insulation in my livingroom. I knew if I didn't help my DH I would never get the Christmas tree up before he left to go to the apt. We did get the tree up and the lights on it before he left. Tomorrow I will put the ornaments on it. Finally one less step for Christmas.

I have been doing some online shopping and I finally see a dent in the things I need to buy. I will still have plenty of things to purchase at the stores, but I'm getting somewhere.

Last night it started to snow and I was getting so worried about N's drive home from work. She works at the mall and normally takes 25-30 minutes to get home. Well not last night, finally after an hour she calls and says she made it safe and sound. Around 1am it started to rain and has rained off and on most of the day today, with alittle freezing rain in the mix. It is suppose to freeze up and start snowing again tonight. I'm so glad she doesn't have to work tomorrow. But yet with all this rain, we still have snow on the ground, better to look at then the dead grass and leaves.

Insulation

Today DH is putting insulation on the brick walls in the livingroom. Anything to warm up the house for the winter. After that is all done I believe we are putting the Christmas tree up. I still have to dig out all the ornaments from under the stairs. Now might be a good time since no one is in the family room to get in my way. Other then that I don't know what else we are doing.

C is still a grumpy butt, still trying to quit smoking. He stormed out of the house all mad and I'm hoping he stays away from me for the rest of the day. I'm hoping D keeps his 2 cents out of everything, but so far he seems to have words to say and I'm not going to listen to him all day either.

Update

In the end I did get all the Christmas stuff out and have figured out what is staying here and what is going down to Portage. I have a mess all over, but after DH finishes the insulation part then we are going to work on getting the tree up tomorrow or I should say today. DH and I went shopping and picked C and D a Christmas gift, so I'm one step closer to the end....lol

I'm going NUTS!

I'm going nuts, does anyone want to join me? I'm ready to murder a child about now. C is trying to quit smoking, wants things done like 1 year ago and won't do a darn thing I have asked him to do. Like clean up my downstairs from all the hunting stuff laying around, dirty clothes. He just keeps telling me what he needs to do first, blah blah. Then tells me he doesn't do anything till afternoon when he isn't working, hello, I want it done this morning so this afternoon I can do the things I want to get done down there. Ok, so I'm not in a great mood about now. Plus it is snowing out, its cold and I have to run to the bank. Wonderful!!

What a Day

What a day I had today, I did NOTHING...lol. I watched stuff on ebay, stayed in my PJ's, watched TV and you wouldn't believe how tired I am....lol. I did sweep the stairs down and swept the bathroom but other then that, nothing. I have no idea why I'm so tired, it isn't like I got up early even, went to bed early last night. Oh well, I'll be heading to bed in a minute.

As each day passes and Christmas gets closer, you can just feel the temps. getting colder. It was kind of funny today. I asked C what it was outside today while he was standing by the livingroom window. He says, "man, its 50 degrees out, I didn't know it was going to be that warm." I told him to look again because there was no way it was that warm, I was freezing. So, he opens the front door, takes the fastest peak ever and says, "man, its freezing out there, its only 30 degrees." then slams the door shut. I told him he needed to either get new glasses or he needed to go back to school and learn his math again....lol

Winter

I really do hate winter. I know I say it every year. Its so weird to listen to people who say they love winter and I think, what, they love to freeze, I don't get it...lol But of course I had to go out into the ice box this morning and take D to school. Again his ride didn't show up.

I will be going back out in the ice box with my sister to head to a store that has snowman figurines. We go to this store every year and she missed it during the candle walk. Well she didn't get to go to the candle walk is more what I mean.

I have many things I want to do this week but of course I won't get to them until C gets all his hunting stuff out of my way. I don't see that happening till this weekend, so about the only thing I can do is my laundry. But, we will see, it is still early in the week.

My Niece

Yesterday I went to my sisters house to give my niece her Christmas gifts and to visit for awhile. We had a really nice time. I learned a new card game that will be fun to play with other people. We didn't get to stay as long as I would have liked because DH needed to get on the road and head to the apt. Before we left my nephew and his wife showed up so we seen them for a few minutes.

Today I will be meeting up with my sisters, mom, niece and N for lunch before my niece flies home tonight and then I'll try to start on some Christmas shopping. Sure wish I could do it all from the internet...lol
