For Deana

I have to write on my blog because Miss Deana says it has been to long...lol. But really I couldn't help that, I have been down at my hubbies apt. just got home yesterday for a dentist appt. for D and me. So, I'm home, tick free, not that I didn't have any crawling on me after my walk, and one crawling around on the carpet in the apt. I've never had to deal with ticks where I live. Only if I went down to the southern state of the USA. I'm thinking, hello, this apt. is only 2 1/2 hours from here, I don't have them here, I shouldn't have them there....lolol

So anyways, I leave for FL a week from today, there is so much to do, so little time. I haven't even started thinking about what to pack, what I have to buy. Bills that need to be paid first, food for the weekend here, food at Nicole's place since D will be staying with her during the week, home with dad on the weekends....lol, One week, that's all I have. Plus, I'm making my Mom doilies for Mother's Day, so I have to work on them too. Clean the house and make time for computer fun since I don't have a computer at the apt. as of yet.

So, that's all that is going on here. I hope your happy now Miss Deana...lol

So much

I have so much going on in my life these days that I'm not really sure if I'm coming or going. I can't even remember what I have or have not posted. So, I guess if I repeat myself, oh well. My DH is now out of a hotel and into his own apt about 2 1/2 hours from here where he works. Still coming home on the weekends. D and I have been down there setting up house last weekend and I plan on going back down there this week until Wed. There are more big furniture that has to go down there. So as we are trying to do this, Nicole got herself an apt uptown and will be moving into that sometime this week. My niece found a sofabed and loveseat at a yard sale yesterday for 100.00 and picked that up for her. Which of course I paid for...lol. She will be paying me back alittle at a time. My niece also had a set of 3 lamps and 2 end table that she is giving Nicole. I went out the day before and bought 100.00 worth of kitchen stuff for her as a house warming gift. So she is feeling much better about moving out. She really had nothing in the way of things for the kitchen and now at least has something to cook in and something to eat off of...lol

This week I also came to the realization that we will not be able to afford to go to Minnesota for my other nieces wedding. I'm so disappointed, we so wanted to be there. But with all the rest of the stuff going on for those two apts, plus my whole downstairs is all tore apart, needing a new stove, dishwasher, bathtub, front window and door. Then there is my parents 50th wedding anniversary party that us girls are giving them in Sept. A trip to Minn. with the gas prices the way they are, food, hotels we are looking at close to 1000.00. Money I just don't have. Plus my DH probably couldn't get time off. Even if he did, that would be a few days off without pay. Just can't do it.

With all this going on, I leave for FL on the 17th. I'm have not started getting out a thing yet. I'm so not ready....lol. So after I come back next week I will have to local the containers that have my summer clothes and go through them, see what still fits and what I will need to go buy, like shorts...lol I have put on a few pounds over the winter.

So, that's about it for my busy life. There, hope your happy Miss Deana...lol

I know, I know

Ok, so I'm alittle behind on my blog these days, but really I have an excuse. I haven't been home for a few days. Went to the town where my DH is getting a work paid apt. So one of the days was going and picking out which building we wanted for the lake view. Next day was going back and paying the deposit and rent. Its a good thing my DH has a training class at the office tomorrow so he can get a check for the money we paid out on it. So, after his training class is over with (half day) we will be taking a load of stuff there. OH, he picks up the keys today. This apt. is 2 1/2 hours away from here. No more hotel living for him, yayayay!! It gets old after awhile and he has been doing it since Dec. We have some furniture to go in it. Like sofa, loveseat, one livingroom lamp, a dinning room table, but no chairs. We have 2 dressers for the bedroom, but no beds. So a air mattress will have to do for us and a futon for my son. I have some kitchen stuff but there will be things to buy down the line. My son and I will probably spend most of the summer there with coming home on the weekends like he (DH) has been doing since Dec. We have lots of work to do on the house and it still needs to get done.

So today I have some running around to do, bank, store, gas, prescription....lolol, fun fun.

D has a chance to do a computer class at home to make up some credits he is behind in school. During the summer time it is 125.00 for 1/2 credit. The high school is charging 50.00 for 1/2 credit. So it is 2 for the price of one...lol. D's school still needs to get more info. I hope they fill me in soon because the more he can get done now, then I won't have to worry about the one month of summer school for the 125.00 price. Have the whole summer free.

What A Day

What a day it has been today. I'm not sure what is up with my daughter lately but she is driving me nuts. She needs to just move out and make all our lives at home happier and easier. It is time. You get to the point where you feel like your job is done and over with as a parent and then it is just time to leave and get on with their own lives and let us get on with ours so to speak.

I got news tonight that a friend of ours house burned. One of his dogs was in the house with her puppies and they were fine and at my uncles house tonight. But as far as I know, one of their cats didn't make it, not sure about the rest. He had been having some electrical problems and had a electrician there yesterday and found out the whole house needs to be re-wired. No one was home when the fire started, thankfully. I guess he doesn't need to re-wire now. I guess tomorrow I'll take a run over to see how bad it is.

So Sad

I'm so saddened for the family and friends of VT college. I pray for all that have became victims of this one crazy person. I can not even imagine the pain as a parent myself. Its sad that we have to wonder were to send our children to keep them safe while till have them learn. I seem to be glued to the tv and trying to get all the information I can. Then this morning there was something suspicious going on at another location of the college. But now the all clear has been called.

I pray for this person's family and what the angry public may do to them. This family didn't shoot these people, so I pray that people leave them alone. I don't feel bad for the person that did the killing but I feel bad for his family, they lost a trouble child in the worse killing of American history. They are in pain as well as the rest of the world.

It's Me

Happy Easter to anyone that may read this. Today was full of family and a great meal. It seems my family just doesn't see enough of each other through out the year. I decided since there is no school this week for D and for my sisters kids that we would get the kids together for a day. There is always so much info to talk about that you just can't get it all in in one day....lolol

My mom called me this morning before all of us came over to let us know that she came down with shingles yesterday and was put on some meds. As long as she was covered, didn't touch the spots and we didn't hug her we should be ok. So, the staying covered and not touching it went just fine, but the "don't hug" part, well that didn't go over to well with any of us.....lol, she got her normal hugs hello and goodbye....lol. She has some joint aches but she found it quickly and got on meds, so she should do ok.

Yesterday DH and I went through all the breakers (sp) in the house and figured out what rooms were wired together so when we are ready to re-wire we know where everything is located. That took alot of our time yesterday, but it had to be done. So, the income tax money is here and next weekend we will probably be ordering the new livingroom window. I can't wait, our livingroom window doesn't even open, it will be nice in the spring to get a breezing going through the house.

How long must we wait?

That is the question of the day. How long must we wait for warmer weather to be here for good, how long must we wait for the gas prices to go down and stay down for, lets say, years???? lolol

WE had nice weather for a few days but it has gotten just a tad bit cooler again. I see next week there are a few days of highs around 45, to cold for me. Now I realize that is it still March and here in Mi we have had snow the first of April before. But come on, I'm so over this winter now, lets move on.

The gas prices are another thing that have made me so very mad this week. I'm sure I'm not alone at all on this one. But how on earth can this be right? We went from 2.45 to 2.55 and then 2 days later we went to 2.75. How can that not be a rip off, 30 cent in less then a week???? That is why this body is home bound. Why waste the gas. I will run up town today for some groceries, it is a little higher in price but cheaper then the gas I would waste to go to my normal store. Mail to send out and bank to see.

So those are my boring days. Been under the weather it seems for weeks now, feeling a cold might be start back up again. Sinus' are going crazy with the up and down temps. Either it will stay just a sinus problem or move on to a cold. The waiting game begins.

I know

I know it has been awhile since I wrote a thing on here. I haven't been feeling all that great in the last week or so.

We didn't do anything on the downstairs this past weekend because we went out to dinner for D's birthday instead, plus it was Nicole's boyfriends birthday. His is the 25th of March and D's is the 26th of March. Right now the wiring is the next step downstairs. We also went and got our taxes done, so as soon as that comes then some of the work will begin.

We have had some really nice days the last few days. Yesterday was beautiful, 73 and sunny, but the wind was really blowing. Today is a bit cooler, but sunny out and suppose to be a high of 68, so we will see if it gets there or not.

The Weekend of the 17th of March

Saturday morning we get up, sit around figuring out what we are going to work on for the weekend. We decided on getting the rest of the drywall off the ceiling and walls in the kitchen. My kitchen and living room is one open room with a high island in the middle. So really you couldn't just stop with the living room...lol. We did not take the drywall off the the wall that leads out to my laundry room. That took most of the day. I tell you what, my trash guys are not going to like us for the next 3 weeks. We still have to do the dinning room which is off my kitchen. That has some wiring that we want to rework in there also. We went to Home Depot and picked up some insulation, pizza (lol), dog food and back to home. We did get some of the insulation up Sat. night but the rest went up Sunday. Which of course I didn't do any of that. I'm not touching that pink stuff and then itch the rest of the day....lolol. When it comes time where is will be put in for good, I'll go around and staple it up...lol.

Sunday was race day, but I pretty much slept through most of the race. I didn't get a good nights sleep Sat. night. I was having some pain in my left arm/shoulder blade that was leaving my arm, neck and left side of my face kind of a numb/tingle feeling. I think I pinched a nerve or something. I had problems with it last week also. So, I guess if that continues I'll have to head to the drs. Its ok today, still feel some of it yet.

This morning I woke up to snow on the ground and it's still snowing. Hello, it can leave now....lol. I'm sure it won't stay but it never had to come in the first place...lol. I'm so ready for Spring. I see buds are starting to come out, my flowers are poking their little heads out now, I don't want to see any snow. I'm so done with that...lol

This week I have nails to pull out of ceiling and walls, maybe dust the furniture now that the removal of drywall is done for a bit.

Up up and away!!

I really didn't do much in the form of moving around yesterday, but I did get the one thing that I've been needing to get out of the way and that is my airline ticket to FL. I fly out on May 17th and will be driving back home on May 30th, (my anniversary...lol). That's the date we drive out of the driveway and since I do most of the driving I will take 3 days which pulls us into the rented apt. on June 1st. Oh, so this makes more since to everyone that doesn't already know, I drive my 70ish year old aunt back to Mi for the summer, then drive her back to FL and fly back home. Nice little vacation for me.

I did pull out some more nails in the 2x4's in the living room, picked up a few things and called it a day. Worked on my almost the end of the doily thread doily...lol.

This morning was suppose to be a morning of everyone getting the chance to sleep in here. No school for D and Nicole didn't have to work, but our dumb dog outside decided that wasn't going to happen here. I'm not even sure how early he started barking, I know it was before 6am, I woke up to Nicole yelling at him. It hasn't stopped the dumb dog from barking at what ever he is looking at across the street. Which of course I don't see a thing. Dumb dogs!!

A Shock in the Ceiling

When we were taking down the ceiling in the living room we found this paper hornets nest above the drywall. There was this tiny hole to the outside of the house and they were getting in from there. It was an old nest and fell a part when you touched it. Go take a look, its kind of neat looking. Picture

My Weekend

I'm not even sure where to beginning on my whole weekend. It was long, busy, back breaking work. Got up sat. morning and started taking down the drywall off the ceiling in the living room and ended up taken off all the drywall in the whole room, ceiling and walls. First there was half of a drop ceiling and paneling on the walls. The mess, the dust was everywhere. After taking off the paneling and drywall on one of the outside walls we seen that when they built the house in the early 60's they never even put up any insulation. The part that took the longest I think is picking up the broken drywall and putting them in bags, vacuuming. You couldn't place much in each bag or it would be to heavy for the trash man to pick up today. We only put out about 20 bags and have about another 20 more to go out next week. Part of the ceiling is down in my kitchen (all open room), but for now we want to get more of the living room done. DH plans on doing some rewiring and putting in a new window before we insulate and drywall. I still have nails to pull out this week but that won't take long. I woke up Sunday morning to my body just hurting...lol and this morning about all my muscles hurt, I think I need some good drugs...lol. I will not be pulling out any nails today....lol I will post a picture another time when there is more light in the dark living room. Its cloudy and rainy outside today.

It was weird seeing it still light outside at 7-8pm last night, I can't wait till it is light out earlier in the morning as well. I didn't sleep worth beans Sat. night for some reason, but last night was much better. Only woke up a few times from cats trying to play with each other, of course on my bed....lol or one just wanting some loving time. Then, just when I get back to sleep, the phone rings....people just leave me alone for once...lol Today will just be a few loads of laundry and that's it.

So, I blog again...lol

I decided that I was going to blog again today. This is for me, my thoughts, things I want to remember. I'm not liking me to much today. I'm feeling so very fat now. I tried on my shorts that I have been wearing the last 2 summers. I can no longer get them on. I'm beginning to look like I'm PG...lolololol and THAT ISN'T HAPPENING. I sometimes feel I liked me so much better when I was smoking, at least I was thinner. I guess I'm feeling depressed today, I'm fat, I'm tired of winter and I just need a break away from all the comings and going in this house. Maybe all the months of DH being gone all week long and only home on the weekends is catching up to me.

My sweet kitty cat decided to be a little brat tonight. He decided from what I can tell as the first time since he was a kitten sprayed all over my entertainment center. I think it has something to do with Chris' unfixed male cat in my house. Munchkin is almost 5 years old and hasn't done this since he was like 7 months old. So this upset me tonight.

Chris called tonight from his apt. stating that the landlord posted a note on his door saying he was late on his rent. Now why on earth is this man asking for rent since Chris hasn't been able to live in his apt since the first of Feb???? That's when a water pipe broke in the bathroom and it still isn't all fixed yet. Like his toilet is still sitting next to his bath tub, not even where it goes. He doesn't even have a floor in there or the kitchen, just a sub floor and this man wants rent money????? I told Chris to take lots of pictures of the way it looks. Chris is writing the man a letter and putting it on his door. The landlord lives below him in this house. But Chris wanted to know that if he gets kicked out if he can bring all his stuff here for a few weeks. Great, what can I say???? Thank goodness Chris works out of town with DH all week. I just couldn't take him living here every day any longer. That's a sad thought isn't it? Can't handle having your own child around all the time. But its always a lot of fighting when all the kids are together.

Why Blog??

So, I ask what few people read my blog, why blog??? I have nothing new to say, my life is rather boring in the winter time. I don't go anywhere if I can help it. My daily activities range from: Picking up the house, cleaning, computer, tv, doilies, kids, dinners.....lolol What's there to tell??? Oh, I had a fine headache, listen to the kids fight with each other, maybe add a dog in there barking??? So, I guess if there is nothing to blog, there will be nothing to read also.

Where's the Snow

Yesterday I took off to go shopping thinking I just might get snowed in. Last I had heard we were suppose to get up to 6 inches of snow. Now my driveway is an uphill to the road and sometimes making it hard to get on the road. So off shopping I went. After getting home and put my little bit of groceries away I retrieved to the computer room for a bit, then off to watch my afternoon shows.

D came home from school in a very good mood today, which was very nice. We talked for awhile then he went downstairs to do his normal things. Feed and water the dogs and lay on the sofa to watch tv.

As I watched my show I realized I watched some of them through my eyelids....lol I had a headache but other then that I felt better.

The snow did start but was little tiny snowflakes. When I got up this morning I look out to make sure Nicole was gone, she had a dentist appt. I'm thinking, where's the snow???? I think we maybe got like 2 inches...lolol. Guess I didn't have to leave yesterday to shop for anything...lol

Not sure what I'm going to do today as of yet.

Hello

Yesterday my DH, D and I went to the movies to see Wild Hogs. It was a funny movie. Nice to get out for a bit. After the movie went to my parents house, but didn't get to stay long. Got a phone call from a friend that was on his way over to our house to drop off one of our picnic tables. See, we are never gone so he didn't figure he needed to call...lolol. So the rest of the day I watched more movies and worked on more doilies. I got a big big thing of thread for the doilies and I just keep making more until all the thread is gone....lol

Today, I've only worked on laundry and picked up the weekend mess. I have to say I didn't need to do anything in the kitchen. My dh had it all done this morning before he went to work. Must have had some extra time on his hands...lol.

That about sums up my day so far, oh how boring...lol

Lazy Day!!

I pretty much spent my day being lazy. I was on the computer for awhile, then off to work on a doily while watching a movie. Well 1 movie turned into like 3 movies on the lifetime channel....lolol. That's how lazy my day was.

DH went to Home Depot today and ended up buying me a new toy to play with. An electric stapler/nail gun...lol. Nice, but I could think of other toys I'd like to have instead...lol. But it will come in handy. Is he trying to put me to work??? Take the load off his shoulders??? lolol

I'm Still Alive

What a mixed up day we have had today. I woke up to a snow storm, dropping a ton of snow. Slowly the snow stopped but I knew a bigger mess was coming. It is finally here now. It stopped snowing and then slowly we went to freezing rain. Now it is raining heavy with thunder and lightening to go with it....lol. Crazy weather and to think Spring is only about 3 weeks away....lol

Nothing more to report. Just dealing with the normal day in and day out life of a stay at home mom. Still dealing with my daily headaches, some days worse then others and lately they have all been kind of bad. Dealing with one of my pills not working right and bothering me. Other then that, that's about it.

YAY the weekend is over

You have no idea how glad I am in many ways that the weekend is over. DH and Chris are gone, back working out of town, D is in school. The only one left is Nicole, she goes to work this afternoon. But not before D comes home from school, so, there will be no freedom bells ringing my way today. It just seems to go crazy around here with everyone around all weekend. Some still can get along with others, even as adults....lolol. I never thought I would hear my adult kids come up and tattle on each other. Its pretty much, "shut up", "leave me alone", "deal with it yourselves"....lolol. I have no idea when Chris' apt. is going to be fixed, but I wish they would hurry it up so he can go back home to live and just come here for visits...lolol

It snowed yesterday and into the night, but it was more an on and off snow. In the end we missed out on the big one. That's fine with me, but I'm sure D was disappointed when he got up this morning. Didn't get the 8 inches or so like they thought. If we got 3 inches total through out a 24 hour period that would be pushing it.

I'm feeling alot better, but still dealing with a more then normal of a headache. I believe it is sinus headaches. My body doesn't seem to like the up and downs with the temp. Usually make me feel like crap. I'm starting to get that feeling again. But the cold for the most part is now pretty much gone.

Today is a day of just starting the tackling of everyone elses mess from the weekend. You know, go be the maid and pick up everyone elses lazy butts stuff. That is what I get so sick of doing. My kids aren't babies anymore and at this age they should be taking care of their own messes. I did raise them to put their own things away. But they seem to have gotten worse as they got older. Pretty soon, I'm going to make a nice little pile on my front porch and start putting their stuff out there for all my neighbors to see....lolol

So really, I am alive yet, just haven't felt all that great for blogging.

Daniel

Daniel is feeling so much better this morning. He said he was sweating all night long, must have sweat the sickies right out of him. I'll see how he feels when he gets home. Afternoons the temps seem to come back. I made a doctors appt. for him yesterday for tomorrow if he is still sick. DH's doctors appt. went well. She is keeping him on this wonderful bp pill. He has had high blood pressure since his early 30's and this is the first time someone has gotten it under control. As for me, I'm somewhat better, but now the sinus' are bothering me. Up and down in the temps. outside make me feel yucky most of the time.

Haven't done a whole lot these days. But my day will be coming where I will need some major deep cleaning.

What a Day!!

What a day this turned out to be. Daniel came home from school at lunch time. He didn't have a temp then, but later in the day it came back to a low grade temp. Then the nose bleeds kicked in. Took 2 1/2 hours from beginning to end to get it to stop. I was starting to get alittle worried. So, my day was filled with all kinds of fun. I have gotten rid of the sneezing and have replaced it with a cough...lol

Daniel Temp Broke

I got up to check on D in the middle of the night to find that his temp broke. Not only did it break he was laying in sweat filled clothes. Had to get up and change and put a lighter blanket on. He was feeling better this morning all the way till it was time to leave for school. No temp. no stay home, but then he wanted to add in, well my tummy don't feel good and this and that. Its like go to school. Get your all so important morning classes over with and we will go from there....lol I'm sure there will be a phone call around 11:30am to pick him up....lol I'll update later. I feel somewhat better this morning even tho I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep.

Will it ever end

What a week, and weekend I've had. Ok, I think I have sneezed 1000 times, my poor nose is red and sore, my throat is scratchy. Pretty much still feel like crap. I'm really tired of just laying around in bed, watching tv, crocheting, napping....lol. I have done the little picking up of things, a little here and there. That's it. Now Daniel is getting the cold from Nicole too. Except, he is running a little temp. Oh great, he can't afford any time off from school...lol

So hopefully this week will bring some better days.
