It took awhile

Finally I decided it was time to put the pictures I took at my parents anniversary party on my computer and I'm very disappointed. I hardly took anything. I never took a picture of what all the decorations looked like. I didn't take pictures of my most of my family. I guess I just wasn't thinking very well. I will have to get pictures from both my sisters if they have some good ones. I don't even like half the ones I did take. Nicole didn't take her camera because her memory card was full so I won't be getting any from her. Bummer

Its Over

I'm so glad my parents 50th wedding anniversary is over. It was stressful and draining. It did turn out very nice though. Everyone seem to enjoy themselves. But, everyone left way to early, we had music for dancing if people wanted too, but in the end it turned out to be my family and both my sisters families was all that was left. So since we had the hall for the whole weekend and stayed till 10:30 dancing up a storm...lol. We all had a great time together. We cleaned up almost all of it before we left but decided to keep all the food there in the fridge and pick it up the next day. So in the morning we all headed over there to do the last minute cleaning, grabbed all the food that was left and took it all over to my parents house for an afternoon meal. Then we divided it all up from there.

Yesterday I took the key back for the hall and came home and did nothing. I napped off and on, played on the computer and that was about it. I don't seem to have anymore energy today then I did yesterday...lol But at some point and time I need to clean this house. We have another 50th wedding anniversary to go to this weekend. Man, that makes 3 of this year and some that will be coming up next year along with the 8 graduation parties.

I haven't made it to the apt yet. I have stuff that I got in FL that needs to go over there. I'm hoping to take a weekend at the end of the month. The car dying almost 2 weeks ago put me alittle behind of things that needed to get done and one of the things was go to the apt over the weekend. In the 2 1/2 weeks I have been home from FL, my car died, the toilet wouldn't flush, water wouldn't go down in the tub. Once the car was fixed (fuel pump) the oil light came on, I gave it a drink of oil..lol, something else happened, I can't remember and my internet modem stopped working. I had to take it in the cable company and pick up a new one. Then it wouldn't work so I had to call and have the tech guy help me with it. So, its been a crazy few weeks.

Life is Crazy

Things sure have been crazy in my life in the last week. Last Wednesday evening I went out to my car to take pictures over to my sister for my parents anniversary party and wouldn't you know it, it wouldn't start. After several people looking at it, we figured it was a bad fuel pump. So, I got stuck here with no car till Friday night. Saturday morning my new fuel pump got here and was put in the car. Started right up. So, I go on my way to a party Saturday night, all is well. Didn't go anywhere Sunday. Monday morning I took D out to lunch since I couldn't give him any lunch money till I went to the bank. But before I met up with D I took a shower and ended up standing in water. Then I noticed the toilet wasn't going down. Oh great now what. I didn't have time to deal with it just then. After lunch I headed over to my sisters house and the oil light came on just before I got in her driveway. So after checking the oil, I find that I needed not just 1 qt, but needed 3 qts of oil. So, got that taken care of, all is well, so I think. D trys the toilet when he got home from school, it started going down but very strangely. Still no time to deal with it. We had to be to Nicole's for dinner and then I had to head back to my sisters for more anniversary stuff. So, this morning, the toilet is going down after a bunch of plunging, but still not just right. Still no time to deal with such things because it is Nicole's 23rd birthday and we were going out to buy her a gift for her apt. Ok, while gone I realized that my gas gauge has not moved at all since the new fuel pump, toilet still isn't working. Are you getting the point to my crazy life since last week. I'm not getting into this hubby working out of town during the week and only home on weekends. All things go to pot while he is gone and at the beginning of the week...lol. As it was, my brother inlaw had to fix my car.

I woke up today, so life is good. The rest has all gone to pot. So, don't ask me how I feel, you might get an ear full.

Now what?

I'm home and find so much to do but yet I just don't feel like doing anything. Its to hot and to hot in other ways...lol

I know there is so much to be thankful for in my life and at the same time I have so much out of control things. Right now the biggest thing is my car. It died last night, no gas going to the motor. Why can't these things happen on the weekend when hubby is home to fix them???? So, I get to wait till he comes home this weekend to look at it. I so needed to go grocery shopping today, but I guess we can eat soup or something for dinner...lol. Its just me and D here till this weekend.

I got my hair cut short this week. The way they styled it is cute but something I won't be doing every day. I'm the lazy kind of person when it comes to my hair. I just want to wash it and go. But now that it is this short, it isn't working out like I had hoped. The reason I got most of it cut off was because the hair was all dead and straw like feeling. Its been a long long time since its been cut. We will see how this goes. Maybe I should have waited until after my parents 50th anniversary party which is the 15th of this month.....lolol

School has started, so now the other stress begins. I'm sure I will be complaining about it real soon. Like, D, will you please say in your afternoon classes?????? lolol

I'm Home

I'm home now. Its been a tiring few days. Come Tuesday when school starts things will settle down again. I hope..lol

Almost Time

I can't believe it is almost time for me to take Auntie back down to FL. I leave next Wed (Aug. 15th) and fly home on Aug. 30th.

There is so much that I have to do yet and so little time. I've been down at the apt. this week and will go back home tomorrow. But a much better week for it was at a much slower pace.

Hubby and I took the boys to the movies Wed. night. Was a pretty good movie, alittle to fast pace with the camera for my likings.

Well if you don't hear from me for awhile, you will now know why. Everyone have a great Aug.

For The Last Week

Well the weekend for the race was a long weekend that turned into one long week. It was wonderful to see one of our friends, but the race, thats a whole different story. I can say I have been to the Brickyard, but as for going back to that track, I don't think so. One of the stupidest set ups I've seen yet. So this is how the last week went.

Friday: Come home from apt. go to my sisters 40th birthday party.

Saturday: Meet sisters in the morning, come home and drive back to the apt. shower and head for IN to friends house. Get there around 8:30pm

Sunday: Go to the race, drive back to the apt.

Monday: Get up and drive back home, rest the rest of the day.

Tuesday: Get up and go to my parents house to visit, pick up the slides pictures and the machine to view them from. Go to sisters to go over the pictures but the light bulb didn't work. Had to order one, sister and I go back to parents house to see if there is a bulb in one of the other machines, yes find one, go back to sisters, start looking over pictures. Went through half the reels before going home in the evening. Oh, started calling halls to rent for the party.

Wed: Get up, go to parents to help mom with vcr/dvd player that I connected the day before. Head back to sisters to go through the rest of the slides. Have 134 slides picked out to make into pictures. Didn't get home again till evening.

Thurs: Finally cleaned up the house, went to the store to start on the school clothes shopping. Went and paid on the hall we decided to get.

Fri: Get up and started packing up the rest of Nicole's bedroom and putting her crap in the closet. Got out some of my workout stuff, set up to use. Went back to the store, needed pants for dinner plans I had in the evening with 3 of my girlfriends. We go every year for our birthdays (all in July).

Sat: Meet sisters again to go over the food list. Went shopping for prices, have that all taken care of. Picked up a few things here and there for the party. Took the slides in to get the pictures made. Went back to sisters house and my nephew put some movies and games on my ipod for me so I have something to do when I fly back home from FL. Never got home till 9pm.

Sunday: Went to Aunties house for a visit, came home packed my stuff up to go to the apt for the week, cleaned up some last minute things in the house.

Monday: Went to the doctors at 7:15am and drove back down to the apt.

So that is what the last week has looked like. I leave for FL a week from tomorrow, so this is the last week to spend time with hubby and boys. Not sure what day, but we are going to the movies one day this week. I will leave for FL on the 15th and fly home on the 30th of Aug.

This Week

Its been a very long week. I am under the weather with a nasty cold. But on the brighter side, I get to go to a Nascar race in IN, the brickyard on Sunday. I just love getting free tickets plus we have some friends that live about 10-15 minutes from the track, so we are going to their house sat night. So for today I have been cleaning the apt and will leave for home tonight. I have a meeting with my sisters for my parents 50th wedding anniversary on Sat. then I'll drive back to the apt and head to IN from here.

Long Day

Man it was a long day today. Nicole and I got up and didn't take us long to be out the door for a day of shopping. Now some of you already know that I hate to shop, so it felt longer then it was in the end...lol She had plans of going to 2 different malls. One is here in town and the other is about 20 or so minutes away. We went to the one that was 20 minutes away first. We did find a few things but that mall was a big waste of gas. It was a nothing mall....lol. So we head back into town, go to the mall here and find a few more things. By the time I got home I was tired of walking, hungry and needed a nap. Ok, so I didn't eat anything and I didn't get a nap in either...lolol. We watched some tv and then Nicole decides that she is going to paint my toe nails and then she goes to the fingers. Mind you, Nicole don't like feet at all, don't touch them and don't touch her...lol. So to my surprise she touched my toes and painted them...lol

I didn't get my sewing started yet, but maybe I can do some tomorrow, at least cut them out and have them ready for sewing.

Poor Girl

I feel so bad for Nicole, she took a bad week off from work. She is on vacation with us and wouldn't you know it, its the first week that it has rain in the forecast for 4 out of 5 days since I've been coming down here. Really her vacation is 5 days off. Yesterday we waited for the rain and thought any minute now it was going to start because it was so cloudy and rain was in the forecast for all day. By 6-7 pm the sun was out, never rained here. Bummer, wasted a day! So I wake up this morning, its pouring out and she wants to go to the mall that is about 20 or so minutes away. I hate going to the mall, I hate shopping in the first place....lol

D went home with Chris last night and is coming back tomorrow morning for my Birthday Day. Chris is going to spend the night tomorrow so he can spend the evening with me...lol. So the whole family will be together.

I need to get my seat cushions done for the dinning room chairs and make the bread that I didn't do yesterday...lol Sometime this week I will tho.

I'm not sure I'm even going back home this weekend. I really don't see the need to. Nothing is going on there and the following two weekends we have a few parties to go to, so is a must then. Why waste the gas.

Hump Day!!

I'm still at the apt. I didn't have to go home yesterday after all. I will leave Friday morning for the weekend. I will run out of pills by then so it is a must that I leave. N has a doctors appt. Friday and she wants me to go with her. Sears is coming on Sat. to take a last look at my washer before the warranty runs out. So that is the plans for the weekend. Then Sunday we come back to the apt. and N will come down here after she gets out of work to spend her week vacation here with us. Of course there are malls she wants to go to, do some fishing and just relax...lol

There isn't much to do the rest of the week. I have done all the cleaning that needs to be done in this small apt. So it is play time, computer, reading, what ever I want....lol

Apartment Again

Just thought I'd let anyone know that I made it safe and sound back at the apt. again. Now that I have a computer here, I will be able to write me.

Now you see me, now you don't

I'm home for a short spell. Have a party to go to for my sister in-law becoming a citizen of the US today.

Not much going on down at the apts. But I do have a new toy down there. I have a new computer so I can finally go online, yay!! The only other thing we need is a bed, still sleeping on the air mattress. That will be fine for now. So this weeks take back down there will be a very very old rocking chair that I got from my grandma. Its been in storage in a junk room for years. Thought it would be nice to put in the bedroom to sit on and watch tv instead of laying down.

Besides going to the party, Dh and Chris have to work on DH's truck, the brake line rusted out and part of it was replaced last week. But on the way to work yesterday morning the brakes went out on it while Chris was driving it, so somewhere else must be rusted. Plus they are going to work on Chris' truck, it would like to work on 8 cylinders instead of 7....lolol, so new plugs, wires and what ever else goes with it will be in done today too.

As for me, I don't have alot to do today, while Chris was home from work yesterday and his truck keys locked in my computer room, he decided to clean the house and cut the grass. So play time for me...lol Maybe I COULD throw in a load of laundry....lol

Hello

I'm home for a week as of right now. I have mixed feelings about being here. Nice to be home but I don't want all the cleaning that comes with it. I seen that no one did any of it while I was gone to DH's apt. So, I will leave it like it is till monday, then DH and son Chris will go to the apt for the week. That only leaves me with D here and I'm sure he will be gone enough. It needs such a good top cleaning and deep cleaning after that...lol But as I look around, I just don't know where to start. Sometimes I feel like just running out the door and never come back. I don't feel like this is my job to do anymore. I leave a house, I'm not in it for a week, there is only ONE kid here and he is old enough to pick up after himself. My daughter brought D home on thurs morning so I'm sure he as alittle bit of a mess in here. But I sure didn't make none of it, why do I have to clean it...lol

Ok enough on that, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew I was home now.

Well

Well I was home for a short amount of time...lol. I spent all last week down at DH's apt and came home this weekend. We had my nieces graduation party to go to today and then off to my parents for Father's Day tomorrow. My nieces party went really well, then we went to the after party which is usually a few beers and bomb fire. Didn't get home till after 2pm. Then I thought I better cut up the potatoes for the salad so in the morning is all I have to do is cook them. The eggs are cooked and ready to go so it won't take me long to do it. Then tomorrow night we are heading back to the apt in the evening for another week.

I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do about computer Internet there. I have the same server there is here but the cable TV part comes with the apt free. So, I thought maybe since they are the same that I would take the old computer down there this week and see if it will work or not. If not then I guess I will look for a laptop the following week since I'll be home all week long.

My sisters exchange student will be leaving on the 30Th and she is having a going away party on the 26Th so that is why I'll be home. This is all going to be interesting.

I just wanted to make sure everyone knows what is going on in my life. I'm very bored down there with no computer. The library doesn't let me do a lot, just check my email and surf the web, that's about it. No instant messaging at all. Got to get that figured out and soon. There is so much you can clean and I get tired of making the doilies. I need to look for a TV for in the bedroom so there are other TV shows that each of us can watch instead of figuring out who gets to watch which show and who gets to miss out. D has his own in his room and the other one is in the livingroom.

I'm Home

Happy Birthday Deana!!

I'm finally home from FL. Just in time for the last day of school for D. Now the fun begins with going back and forth from here and hubby's apt. I thought maybe I'd go tomorrow but my niece graduates from 8th grade on Wed. and I have a dentist appt. on Thurs. So I guess I'm in town for a few days. I also figured I'd better spend some time with Nicole so she don't go to ballistic....lol The weather was nice in FL, in the upper 80's, no rain. The drive home went well, had a lot of road construction. Almost all the way through TN on I-75. We also got into the wild fires, well, not seen the fires but drove through the smoke from them for about 100 or so miles in the upper FL and GA.

I came home to a house that was trashed, go figure since no one was really suppose to be here except to come back after school to feed the dog and wait for Nicole to pick him up after work. But Chris ended up here doing laundry and staying the night and he don't like to pick up after himself to much either. And of course D made his own messes....lol. So today was suppose to be cleaning day and laundry but the nascar race got rained out yesterday and is on today...lololol Nicole hasn't gotten all her stuff moved out yet. So I started packing up misc. stuff yesterday for her to take or me take over to her apt. I wanted her room cleaned out before I got home but I see that never happened.

So, that's about it for now

I have to write on my blog because Miss Deana says it has been to long...lol. But really I couldn't help that, I have been down at my hubbies apt. just got home yesterday for a dentist appt. for D and me. So, I'm home, tick free, not that I didn't have any crawling on me after my walk, and one crawling around on the carpet in the apt. I've never had to deal with ticks where I live. Only if I went down to the southern state of the USA. I'm thinking, hello, this apt. is only 2 1/2 hours from here, I don't have them here, I shouldn't have them there....lolol

So anyways, I leave for FL a week from today, there is so much to do, so little time. I haven't even started thinking about what to pack, what I have to buy. Bills that need to be paid first, food for the weekend here, food at Nicole's place since D will be staying with her during the week, home with dad on the weekends....lol, One week, that's all I have. Plus, I'm making my Mom doilies for Mother's Day, so I have to work on them too. Clean the house and make time for computer fun since I don't have a computer at the apt. as of yet.

So, that's all that is going on here. I hope your happy now Miss Deana...lol

Going Away

No blog updates till Thurs. Going down to DH's apt.

So much

I have so much going on in my life these days that I'm not really sure if I'm coming or going. I can't even remember what I have or have not posted. So, I guess if I repeat myself, oh well. My DH is now out of a hotel and into his own apt about 2 1/2 hours from here where he works. Still coming home on the weekends. D and I have been down there setting up house last weekend and I plan on going back down there this week until Wed. There are more big furniture that has to go down there. So as we are trying to do this, Nicole got herself an apt uptown and will be moving into that sometime this week. My niece found a sofabed and loveseat at a yard sale yesterday for 100.00 and picked that up for her. Which of course I paid for...lol. She will be paying me back alittle at a time. My niece also had a set of 3 lamps and 2 end table that she is giving Nicole. I went out the day before and bought 100.00 worth of kitchen stuff for her as a house warming gift. So she is feeling much better about moving out. She really had nothing in the way of things for the kitchen and now at least has something to cook in and something to eat off of...lol

This week I also came to the realization that we will not be able to afford to go to Minnesota for my other nieces wedding. I'm so disappointed, we so wanted to be there. But with all the rest of the stuff going on for those two apts, plus my whole downstairs is all tore apart, needing a new stove, dishwasher, bathtub, front window and door. Then there is my parents 50th wedding anniversary party that us girls are giving them in Sept. A trip to Minn. with the gas prices the way they are, food, hotels we are looking at close to 1000.00. Money I just don't have. Plus my DH probably couldn't get time off. Even if he did, that would be a few days off without pay. Just can't do it.

With all this going on, I leave for FL on the 17th. I'm have not started getting out a thing yet. I'm so not ready....lol. So after I come back next week I will have to local the containers that have my summer clothes and go through them, see what still fits and what I will need to go buy, like shorts...lol I have put on a few pounds over the winter.

I know, I know

Ok, so I'm alittle behind on my blog these days, but really I have an excuse. I haven't been home for a few days. Went to the town where my DH is getting a work paid apt. So one of the days was going and picking out which building we wanted for the lake view. Next day was going back and paying the deposit and rent. Its a good thing my DH has a training class at the office tomorrow so he can get a check for the money we paid out on it. So, after his training class is over with (half day) we will be taking a load of stuff there. OH, he picks up the keys today. This apt. is 2 1/2 hours away from here. No more hotel living for him, yayayay!! It gets old after awhile and he has been doing it since Dec. We have some furniture to go in it. Like sofa, loveseat, one livingroom lamp, a dinning room table, but no chairs. We have 2 dressers for the bedroom, but no beds. So a air mattress will have to do for us and a futon for my son. I have some kitchen stuff but there will be things to buy down the line. My son and I will probably spend most of the summer there with coming home on the weekends like he (DH) has been doing since Dec. We have lots of work to do on the house and it still needs to get done.

So today I have some running around to do, bank, store, gas, prescription....lolol, fun fun.

D has a chance to do a computer class at home to make up some credits he is behind in school. During the summer time it is 125.00 for 1/2 credit. The high school is charging 50.00 for 1/2 credit. So it is 2 for the price of one...lol. D's school still needs to get more info. I hope they fill me in soon because the more he can get done now, then I won't have to worry about the one month of summer school for the 125.00 price. Have the whole summer free.

What A Day

What a day it has been today. I'm not sure what is up with my daughter lately but she is driving me nuts. She needs to just move out and make all our lives at home happier and easier. It is time. You get to the point where you feel like your job is done and over with as a parent and then it is just time to leave and get on with their own lives and let us get on with ours so to speak.

I got news tonight that a friend of ours house burned. One of his dogs was in the house with her puppies and they were fine and at my uncles house tonight. But as far as I know, one of their cats didn't make it, not sure about the rest. He had been having some electrical problems and had a electrician there yesterday and found out the whole house needs to be re-wired. No one was home when the fire started, thankfully. I guess he doesn't need to re-wire now. I guess tomorrow I'll take a run over to see how bad it is.

So Sad

I'm so saddened for the family and friends of VT college. I pray for all that have became victims of this one crazy person. I can not even imagine the pain as a parent myself. Its sad that we have to wonder were to send our children to keep them safe while till have them learn. I seem to be glued to the tv and trying to get all the information I can. Then this morning there was something suspicious going on at another location of the college. But now the all clear has been called.

I pray for this person's family and what the angry public may do to them. This family didn't shoot these people, so I pray that people leave them alone. I don't feel bad for the person that did the killing but I feel bad for his family, they lost a trouble child in the worse killing of American history. They are in pain as well as the rest of the world.

It's Me

Happy Easter to anyone that may read this. Today was full of family and a great meal. It seems my family just doesn't see enough of each other through out the year. I decided since there is no school this week for D and for my sisters kids that we would get the kids together for a day. There is always so much info to talk about that you just can't get it all in in one day....lolol

My mom called me this morning before all of us came over to let us know that she came down with shingles yesterday and was put on some meds. As long as she was covered, didn't touch the spots and we didn't hug her we should be ok. So, the staying covered and not touching it went just fine, but the "don't hug" part, well that didn't go over to well with any of us.....lol, she got her normal hugs hello and goodbye....lol. She has some joint aches but she found it quickly and got on meds, so she should do ok.

Yesterday DH and I went through all the breakers (sp) in the house and figured out what rooms were wired together so when we are ready to re-wire we know where everything is located. That took alot of our time yesterday, but it had to be done. So, the income tax money is here and next weekend we will probably be ordering the new livingroom window. I can't wait, our livingroom window doesn't even open, it will be nice in the spring to get a breezing going through the house.
