YAY the weekend is over

You have no idea how glad I am in many ways that the weekend is over. DH and Chris are gone, back working out of town, D is in school. The only one left is Nicole, she goes to work this afternoon. But not before D comes home from school, so, there will be no freedom bells ringing my way today. It just seems to go crazy around here with everyone around all weekend. Some still can get along with others, even as adults....lolol. I never thought I would hear my adult kids come up and tattle on each other. Its pretty much, "shut up", "leave me alone", "deal with it yourselves"....lolol. I have no idea when Chris' apt. is going to be fixed, but I wish they would hurry it up so he can go back home to live and just come here for visits...lolol

It snowed yesterday and into the night, but it was more an on and off snow. In the end we missed out on the big one. That's fine with me, but I'm sure D was disappointed when he got up this morning. Didn't get the 8 inches or so like they thought. If we got 3 inches total through out a 24 hour period that would be pushing it.

I'm feeling alot better, but still dealing with a more then normal of a headache. I believe it is sinus headaches. My body doesn't seem to like the up and downs with the temp. Usually make me feel like crap. I'm starting to get that feeling again. But the cold for the most part is now pretty much gone.

Today is a day of just starting the tackling of everyone elses mess from the weekend. You know, go be the maid and pick up everyone elses lazy butts stuff. That is what I get so sick of doing. My kids aren't babies anymore and at this age they should be taking care of their own messes. I did raise them to put their own things away. But they seem to have gotten worse as they got older. Pretty soon, I'm going to make a nice little pile on my front porch and start putting their stuff out there for all my neighbors to see....lolol

So really, I am alive yet, just haven't felt all that great for blogging.

Daniel

Daniel is feeling so much better this morning. He said he was sweating all night long, must have sweat the sickies right out of him. I'll see how he feels when he gets home. Afternoons the temps seem to come back. I made a doctors appt. for him yesterday for tomorrow if he is still sick. DH's doctors appt. went well. She is keeping him on this wonderful bp pill. He has had high blood pressure since his early 30's and this is the first time someone has gotten it under control. As for me, I'm somewhat better, but now the sinus' are bothering me. Up and down in the temps. outside make me feel yucky most of the time.

Haven't done a whole lot these days. But my day will be coming where I will need some major deep cleaning.

What a Day!!

What a day this turned out to be. Daniel came home from school at lunch time. He didn't have a temp then, but later in the day it came back to a low grade temp. Then the nose bleeds kicked in. Took 2 1/2 hours from beginning to end to get it to stop. I was starting to get alittle worried. So, my day was filled with all kinds of fun. I have gotten rid of the sneezing and have replaced it with a cough...lol

Daniel Temp Broke

I got up to check on D in the middle of the night to find that his temp broke. Not only did it break he was laying in sweat filled clothes. Had to get up and change and put a lighter blanket on. He was feeling better this morning all the way till it was time to leave for school. No temp. no stay home, but then he wanted to add in, well my tummy don't feel good and this and that. Its like go to school. Get your all so important morning classes over with and we will go from there....lol I'm sure there will be a phone call around 11:30am to pick him up....lol I'll update later. I feel somewhat better this morning even tho I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep.

Will it ever end

What a week, and weekend I've had. Ok, I think I have sneezed 1000 times, my poor nose is red and sore, my throat is scratchy. Pretty much still feel like crap. I'm really tired of just laying around in bed, watching tv, crocheting, napping....lol. I have done the little picking up of things, a little here and there. That's it. Now Daniel is getting the cold from Nicole too. Except, he is running a little temp. Oh great, he can't afford any time off from school...lol

So hopefully this week will bring some better days.

Just another day of being sick

So, today is just the same as yesterday...lol. Still sick, still spent most of the day in bed working on doilies. But today I didn't take a nap at all.

DH comes home from work and gives me some flowers for valentines day. Since he works out of town all week, this was the first he was able to give me something...lol. I'm not a big fan of valentines day in the first place. I feel I don't need to show my love just one day a year, it is suppose to be every day all year long...lol

Chris' cat is finally coming around more today. My cats still don't want him here, but they are getting better. I think he has made one new friend tho.....lol I tell you what, at night time, you better turn on the lights to walk around because you will never see him and he is always under your feet. He's a all black cat. I should take a picture for all to see the little one I've been talking about.

Just a reminder for the nascar fans, the Busch Race is tomorrow on ESPN2.

Still under the weather here

I'm still not feeling good, but what can I expect, I just got the cold...lol. I did spend a lot of time napping today, which I think has made me feel somewhat better.

Tomorrow my father in-law goes in for surgery, I was suppose to be at the hospital but I'm now staying away for a few days. That's the last thing he needs after surgery is my germs. He is having a whole shoulder joint replacement. He is going to be at the hospital for a week. Prayers are really needed for him.

Happy Valentines Day

It wasn't all that wonderful today for Valentines Day. DH works out of town and I'm sick. I was just getting over the cold that my son had and now I have a totally different cold that my daughter had. I like his cold better.....lol. Her cold lead her in the doctors with a throat infection on top of it all. I'm feeling just as bad as she was last friday. So for me, today was a day of laying in bed. I didn't even have the energy to pick up any messes that might have been laying around downstairs. My son took care of the dishes for me, made me some soup for dinner. He even cleaned his room up like I asked...lol

So, on that note, I'm out of here and back to bed I go.

Before the Snow

Today I thought I better get out and take my pop cans back so I could buy some more pop. I had a ton of cans and I won't tell you how many, that's how bad it was...lol. I stopped at the bank and then went to pay the taxes. I hate giving them the money for the taxes, I wait till the last minute. I thought in case we get snowed in tonight that I'd have a few things out of the way.

Chris' cat is driving me nuts. He is either walking up and down the hall doing a crying/meow like he is looking for someone or he is running after my cats. My cats are not happy one little bit about him being here. But, he is still a kitten, not even a year old, he wants to play. I have older cats. My youngest is 4 years old, he don't want to play like that anymore.....lolol

Still working on the doilies and will be for awhile since I'm replacing all the ones I have in the house. Fingers are starting to hurt some, but I'll get over it.

Not much going on for Valentines Day since DH works out of town during the week. But that's ok, Valentines day is more for the younger people, not the old folks...lol

Long Weekend

It seemed to be a very long weekend for me. It isn't that I did much, the time was very slow. I have been waiting for a few months for Nascar to start up again and it is finally here. So, the tv was where I was at most of the time. I'm still working on doilies to replace the gross ones I have now.

DH might be getting an apt. where he is working, he is working almost 3 hours from here, company will be paying for it. But it is something we have to figure out. I will still need to be here till school is done and then Daniel and I can spend the summer there. Life sure changes before you even have a since to let it sink in.

Chris' cat will be spending some time at my house. He is working with DH and last week a pipe broke in his bathroom at his apt. So, right now there is no sink, toilet or floor. Sink and floor is gone in the kitchen too. With workers going in and out, we thought it would be better for his cat to stay here. But man, my cats aren't happy about it.

As for this week, I have nothing planned except the normal day to day life or a stay at home mom.....lol I'd like to work on my special project sometime this week. But I really would like everyone gone from the house while I do this...lol

Still Under The Weather

Still feeling alittle under the weather yet. I've pretty much have had a headache all day. I spent some time on the computer before heading off to my bedroom for the day to watch Nascar. I worked on another doily.

Tell me, how on earth do men fall asleep within a few minutes of laying their heads down on a pillow???? I don't get it, it takes me forever without some medicine aid....lol and then it is awake and asleep all night long. My dh was watching nascar with me, within a few minutes of it being over, he is laying there snoring already. Which of course sends me right out of the room.

My life is so boring in the winter time. I just have to keep thinking, summer is on its way as each day ends.

It's to Cold for me

I'm really very tired of the cold weather we are having, sick of the wind chill that comes with it. I tend not to go anywhere when its so cold like this. I put things off outside of the house even though they need to be done.

I'm still having problems with a pipe or hose that leads to my twin tubs from my washing machine. So therefore I have not done any laundry this week. DH will have to look at it tomorrow.

Nicole woke me up a few times this morning before leaving for work, now I feel unrested...lol I'm not sure why the kids do this to me. Just leave me alone, is that to much to ask for....lol

Again I go downstairs to a mess from the kids. I haven't cleaned anything all week since I'm feeling under the weather here. A shared cold from my two kids. I guess when you teacher your kids to share, you must draw the line somewhere, but I must not have done that when they were young....lolol

Sick

I'm so not feeling very good at all today. I'm getting my kids nasty cold. Nicole went to the doctors today cause she was so sick. Came home with 2 prescriptions.

It's Still Freezing Here

As I sit here, in the cold dark room called "The Computer Room", I think of other people that aren't so lucky to have a roof over their head. Even if it is a gross house I live in, its a roof over my head. What are they doing to keep warm? What about the people that have been put out of their homes due to a fire? What about the animals? These are things that are on my mind this morning. I still have no plastic on the window in here, which I may try to do myself. D was suppose to do it yesterday for me. It feels like -11 out there and there is a good cold breeze coming off the window going to my poor computer.

I started working on another doily in a shape I have never tried before. It isn't a round one. Looks like it might be fun, so I'll work on that while Dr.Phil is on today.

I will have to start cleaning at some point today or at least start picking everyone else's mess up. I did a little bit already, but the kitchen is the worse and it will be calling my name shortly.

I still haven't cut out the fabric for the trunk yet, I just need everyone gone from the house so I can think of how I want to do it. With no school the last few days and Nicole was off yesterday, I just can't get to it. She leaves for work today and D will be about ready to come home from school. So that isn't working for me. But, at least the trunk is in the house and ready for me.

I'm not sure if I'm coming down with a cold or just having winter time blues. I've been so tired and I haven't really done a whole lot. You can really tell this by the way my house looks. As usual, no one else has picked up anything. The kitchen, left a mess for me to clean. I'm grateful that D made dinner, plus muffins, but I did ask him to clean it all up. I see he never did. He stacked the dishes, but that was it.....lol

The last two days have been like living in a freezer...lol. There has been no school due to high winds and -wind chill. I'm also grateful that my sister has called me both mornings to let me know that there wasn't any school. I hope there is tomorrow.

I have worked on the last of my Christmas doilies, at least I don't think there is enough thread for a small one. Now I can start on the ones for the downstairs and throw away the stained up ones I have down there.

Tomorrow at some point I need to return the pop/soda cans and maybe take some winter time pictures while out. Now that depends on if I even feel like getting dressed or not....lol

Life Only Gets Better

Thats what they all say, life only gets better. Someone please tell me when that is going to be? I keep waiting and waiting, but nothings happening. I just don't get it. I don't understand the things that I must be doing wrong. Stuck in a rut today.

The Weekend

It was a long but at the same time a fast weekend. Sat. was just a lazy day waiting to go in to Nicole's work and do inventory. Which was easy money. But a long night at the same time. Sunday I didn't do much. Watched movies, tv shows and worked on my doilies. Didn't watch a single thing on the superbowl. Just not my thing. We will have a Daytona 500 party in this house. More of us interested in that.....lol

Long Day!

I got up way to early this morning, well, now it is yesterday morning. I spent time on the computer before trying to take a nap. Tonight me and Daniel worked 3 1/2 hours where Nicole works doing inventory. We got done and D and I went to McDonald's and now I'm finally home. Still freezing after a 30 minute drive. My car isn't warming up like it is suppose to. It is very very cold here, it is -2 and feels like -19. We had a snow storm come through today but didn't drop alot of snow. Its the wind that has made the roads nasty. Very nasty....lol But I'm home safe and sound and ready to go to bed.

I'm so tired

What a long and tiring day. I had to be to the drs. this morning at 6:45am. Just a 6 month check up so I can get another 6 months worth of a prescription. But in the mean while I only got 5 hours of sleep. So after the drs. I went to a few stores while I was out being I was 30 minutes from home. I got the rest of my fabric and buttons for the trunk cover and some pillows. Fabric for my bathroom curtains.

After I got home I was to tired to do anything, so I laid down but I did the awake and asleep for hours, really not getting very much. I worked on my Christmas doilies, watched some tv and that was my very boring day...lol

Now I'm pretty tired and my eyes burn, so it will be to bed shortly for me.
